The 8th graders presented their Confirmation Saint Monologues to K-5 Holy Family Elementary classrooms on Thursday, March 6. The 8th graders chose their Confirmation Saint friend a few months ago. To get to know their saint better, they had to present the life of the saint through a dramatic monologue while using props and dressing up as the saint. I am so proud of my students!
On Feb 24th Mr. Brown took his Ag Mechanics classes on an Industrial Manufacturing tour to New Age Industrial in Norton. They saw a large aluminum extrusion and aluminum/stainless steel welding facility. We toured everything from the Design Engineer to the complete Manufacturing process to shipping and waste/recycling disposal.

The Chess Team went to St. Francis of Assisi in Wichita Saturday, March 1, and came away with 3rd Place team honors in both Junior High and High School divisions.
Both sections were very large, with over sixty players each, as area schools scrambled to qualify players for the State Tournament on March 15.
In a 70-player High School Division, Junior Blaise Staab scored 4 1/2 points to place 4th, Junior Eli Stein and Freshman Zack Billinger each scored 4 points to place 9th and 13th respectively, while the rest of the team, Freshmen Ethan Gibson, Dylan Billinger, and James Dickman each scored 3 points. The team score of 15 1/2 points placed behind 1st Place Bishop Carroll and 2nd Place Ellinwood.
In a 60-player Junior High Division, 8th Grader Caden Pinkney scored 4 1/2 points to place 5th, 7th Grader Braden Unrein scored 3 1/2 points, and 7th Graders Alex Unrein and Garret Billinger each scored 3 points. The team score of 14 points placed third behind St. Francis of Assisi and Hillsboro.
The team will compete next at State in Emporia, March 15.

Baby Bottle Campaign: Extended to March 7!
Due to weather last week, the Baby Bottle Campaign is extended to March 7 —helping provide essential support for mothers and families in need!
How it works: Each classroom will receive a large baby bottle, and for two weeks, students, families, and staff are encouraged to bring in spare change, cash, or checks to help fill it up. Every class that fills up their bottle will receive Daylight Donuts during House/Community Period!

TMP-JH Student Council would like to invite TMP-M junior high students to the first ever Red Carpet Fun Night!
The event is on Friday, February 28th from 7-9 pm in the gym. We will have fun games and activities planned for all to enjoy. Throughout the evening each grade level will vote on "most likely" awards that will be given to the winning students at the end of the night.
There is a $5 entry fee and the dress code is formal/semi formal. Jeans and a nice shirt counts! So come, have fun, and possibly bring home an award!
Congratulations to TMP-Marian Senior Grace '25 Schmeidler! She was selected as one of the 50 Rudd Foundation Scholars in the state of Kansas, earning a full ride to college.
Grace plans to attend Kansas State University. Grace is the daughter of Jon '91 and Kim Schmeidler.

The 2025 Sweetheart King and Queen will be crowned at the halftime of the boys varsity basketball game this Friday, February 21, in Al Billinger Fieldhouse when the TMP-M Monarchs take on the Norton Bluejays. Girls varsity game starts at 6pm.
Inaugural "Herd Stampede Novice Wrestling Tournament" Exceeds Expectations!
The Herd Wrestling Club successfully hosted a home tournament in historic Al Billinger Fieldhouse this weekend. The event was sponsored by Driggs Design Group. The tournament started at 1 p.m. with a prayer and wrapped up by 3:40 p.m.
Five TMP-Marian High School wrestlers helped referee, TMP-M head wrestling coach Dave Ward was the MC, members of the junior class under the direction of TMP-M Sports Booster Club ran concessions, and Pop Singers did the national anthem. Hopefully, this will be the beginning of many more.
Well done to all parents and volunteers, especially Cammi and Tyson Flax!
