Today is Early Release Day at HFE! Students will dismiss at 1:15 p.m. There will not be bus services at dismissal, but After School Care will be available until 5:30 p.m. It's also our last McDonald's Neighbor's Night of the school year at the North Hays Restaurant from 5-8pm! Thanks for your support!!
There will be no school on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, or Easter Monday! We'll see the students back next Tuesday!

The students are invited and encouraged to bring a small sack of canned foods or fragrance-free baby wipes to school this week which will all be donated to St. Joseph Food Pantry and Diaper Closet on Friday!! What a great way to get the students involved in a service project to help those in need!! The items in most need at this time at the food pantry are FRUIT items (fruit cups, canned fruits, applesauces, etc.) and baby wipes (fragrance-free)! Thank you for your support!!!
We have our HFE Applebee's Fundraising Day tomorrow, Tuesday 3/19! Anyone who orders one of the 5 meals on the flyer will be supporting our school! We'll earn 50% of the sales for these 5 meals anytime between 11:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. Although the profits apply for dine-in, carry-out, and curbside pick-up, Applebee's asks that we encourage as many parents/families as possible to dine-in, as they are better equipped to manage the larger volume of fundraising crowds inside the restaurant!! Join a friend for lunch or pick up food after school to save for after practices if you can't make it out for dinner! Thanks for your support in this way!!

Just a friendly reminder that we are in winter uniform for another month at HFE! Once April 1 begins, students may start wearing shorts again, or skirts without leggings! Spring Break is a great time to have your students try on their shorts and skirts to make sure the length is still long enough! A good rule of thumb on uniform lengths would be: when your child stands straight with their arms down at their sides, or 2" above your child's knees, whichever of these is longer! Growth spurts happen, but Gone Logo and Schoolbelles can help if you need to purchase more uniform pieces!
We have about 40 used school Chromebooks in excellent condition to sell for anyone interested in purchasing! These are a newer model and are $35/each (includes charger). You can pay cash or check made out to HFE. Today is the last day to shop at the HFE Book Fair! Stop by the school library today between 3:45-5:30 p.m. to browse all of the fantastic finds! The day is finally here, our annual Chili Supper & Bazaar! The Chili Supper will run today from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. here at Holy Family! We hope you'll stop by after mass or while out and about today to enjoy a delicious meal of chili and hot chicken sandwiches! Bring your family and friends out for a great time while helping us raise funds for our school! The meal is served in the Little Theater and the meal line will cut off at 1:30 p.m. There is a convenient to-go option, too! The Activity Center will be transformed into a Game Room! Bingo & the Cake Walk will be in the PK4 classrooms, and the Book Fair will be in the Library! The Silent Auction items will all be upstairs in the Gym, as well as the classroom Pigs! You can still turn in your Raffle tickets in the Gym when you come out to eat chili, too! Bid for Silent Auction items or donate to Pigs until 1:00 p.m. today. If you're a lucky winner, stop by to pick up your items between 1-2 in the Gym! We hope to see you today, and thank you for helping us make this day such a success!!! The fellowship and fun that the students and their families share on this day is truly special!

If you haven't yet, tomorrow is the last day to turn in permission forms for the school Talent Show! You can get a form in the office or from Mrs. Rome in music class! We can't wait to see all of the STARS of Holy Family shine!!
We have big changes right around the corner that will affect our dismissal process, school masses and P.E. classes! Due to IHM Church construction, starting Monday, January 29th our school Gym will be the temporary location of IHM Church services, and dismissal will all run through the Activity Center. Please see today's newsletter for all of those details since this will affect all HFE families!!! School masses on Tuesday/Thursday mornings will all be celebrated in the Gym starting this same date, lasting through February and most of March. IHM hopes to be moved back over to the church using their basement for masses by Easter, but this is all tentative and subject to change! P.E. classes will run in the Activity Center and blacktop outside when the weather allows it. We will keep our parents posted if anything changes. Thank you for your cooperation and flexibility as we navigate these changes during the church renovations!
We'd love to "SEA" you at the Book Fair during the Chili Supper! Orders can even be placed online during Catholic Schools Week! Students can also shop for items all during that week at their normal scheduled library times! It's going to be another great Book Fair!
