Organization: The committee members are appointed by Father
Kevin Weber. The committee consists of members with specialized skills in construction and building
code. This committee reports to the School Advisory
Executive Council.
Responsibilities: The purpose of this
sub-committee to is to plan and develop recommendations for
future building expansion and renovation, (including the current IHM worship
space).

Responsibilities: Provide insight and advice
on building maintenance and grounds. Ensure that HFE
facilities are up to code, complete annual building inspections,
recommend building and ground improvements or beautification,
and assists in the handling of safety and security concerns.

Responsibilities: The committee’s purpose is to support

effort to provide the best academic environment and
opportunities for student learning.

Responsibilities: Establish educational goals for Holy
Family Elementary, consistent with the requirements of the
Salina Diocese, the law, and the statewide goals and standards
established by the Board of Education. Provide insight and
advice on major adoptions or revisions of curriculum and
textbooks. Establish and periodically review educational
goals for Holy Family Elementary. Work to develop a
comprehensive text book replacement plan and provide
recommendations to the policy/bylaws committee on school
curriculum policies.

Organization: The chairpersons are appointed by the School
Administrator. The committee consists of HFE

Responsibilities: Promote health education, physical
education, nutrition services, and ensuring a healthy school
environment. Work in conjunction with the principal, food
services, and physical education coordinator to ensure school
health and wellness. This would include adopting a school
wellness policy, and promotion of programs to create a healthier
school environment.

Responsibilities: The Professional Development
Committee reviews the professional development needs of the
school faculty, recommends new initiatives, and monitors the

Bully Prevention

Responsibilities: The bully prevention program is a
universal intervention for the reduction and prevention of
school bullying problems. The main arena for the program is
within the school, and school staff and upper grade have the
task of implementing the program.
Catholic Schools Week

Organization: The
committee consists of students in the 6th
grade
Responsibilities:
Dominic Savio is a service/spiritual club designed to enhance
the 6th grade religious education program. Its members
will operate a concession stand three
times a month for the purpose of dispersing the profits to the
poor and worthy organizations. Additionally, four additional
fundraisers are conducted throughout the year. The 4th
week students will conduct a Savio meeting and do a service
project such as visiting the elderly or helping with
Tiger Tots.
Homecoming Float Committee

the TMP Homecoming Parade. If you are interested in

Liturgical Planning

oversee clean-up and delivery of gifts to Birthright.
Red Ribbon / Drug Awareness

Responsibilities: Communities and Schools nationwide
join together to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse
by wearing a red ribbon the week of October 23rd to 31st.
The committee focus on drug awareness and education.

School Funding Committees
Linked in Christ Campaign

Responsibilities: “Linked In Christ” is a voluntary
capital campaign for Holy Family Elementary School. The
program is designed to help offset budget deficits.
Contributing families agree to donate $10 or more on a weekly
basis. All contribution should be sent directly to the
school office. The monies generated will be deposited into
the Holy Family account, and are to be used at the discretion of
the School Principal. The committee’s responsibilities are
to promote the program, provide quarterly updates, and to assist
the office staff with database management and annual statements.

Organization: The committee consists of members of the School
Advisory Council, Home and School Committee, HFE faculty

Responsibilities: The chairperson plans, coordinates, and oversees the annual
Chili Supper. In addition, they contact and coordinate
volunteer support. Volunteers help with the event,
including baking desserts, preparing and serving the meal, and
assisting with clean up, games, and other activities.
The Chili Supper is always scheduled on Sunday at the beginning
of Catholic Schools Week.
Race for Education

SWIPE Point-of-Sale Program

point-of-sale program that generates revenue for teacher

Advisory Council and Home and School Committee. The
Co-Chairs work directly with the HFE Principal and office staff.
Responsibilities: This committee works in
conjunction with all other school committees, administration,
and office staff. The committee’s priorities are to
improve communication between the school and parents and the
school and the community. Committee members assist with
advertising, brochures, newsletters, newspaper advertisements,
and organize information for Catholic Schools Week, Chili
Supper, Red Wheel Pizza Sales and other special events for
students. All public communication must be approved by the
School Principal.

Responsibilities: The primary purpose of a lead
parents, is to act as a communication officer and organize parent
volunteer support. In particular, the lead parent will work closely with

Classroom Helping Hands
Chairperson: Each classroom will be assigned “lead parents”.
The lead parent will oversee the helping hand program.
Responsibilities: Parent who volunteer for the helping
hands program will work closely with
the classroom lead parent and assist them with tasks that will
benefit classroom, including
classroom activites, providing resources and material, etc.
Hence the term “helping hands”.

Maintain Scrip inventory, including accounting, promote Scrip
and hold monthly contest to encourage purchasing Scrip.
All Scrip funds are directly donated to the school.
Collecting box top and labels
Holy Family Elementary collects Box Tops for
Education, Campbell's product labels (bar codes) and Tyson
Labels for Education. We also collect pennies, recycle aluminum
cans, and printer cartridges. Please bring to the school
office.
HFE Bucks (SCRIP)
