Driving for Field Trips
CMG CONNECT: DEFENSIVE DRIVING CURRICULUM
Because of the lack of buses at Holy Family Elementary, we require heavily on the help of volunteers to transport our students, through the use of a private car, to their field trip destination. The Diocese of Salina has updated their requirements on use of a volunteer driver and private cars for transportation. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with these updates if you plan on volunteering to drive for a field trip. All necessary paperwork must be turned into the Safety Coordinator 2 weeks before the field trip.
Driver must be 25 years of age
Driver’s vehicle must have an appropriate seatbelt for the driver and each passenger
Driver must provide copies of your driver’s license, auto insurance policy and vehicle registration
Driver must fill out the Driver Information form
Driver must complete the Safe Environment Training with the background check
Driver must complete the Defensive Driving Curriculum
Driver must be cleared through the State of Kansas Driver’s License Status Check
Questions, concerns, or comments about the driver requirements or volunteering can be addressed to Tracy Perrett, Safety coordinator at: email@example.com
