Annual Chili Supper & Bazaar 2021

Our annual Chili Supper & Bazaar will look a bit different this year! The chili supper will be held on Sunday, January 31st! This year, the chili supper meal will be drive-thru style out of the playground parking lot similar to the dismissal format, and a to-go option for meal pick-up inside! There will be two stops in the drive-thru — one stop to place your order with volunteers, pay or hand over your meal tickets, and tell them which dessert options you’d like (brownie, cinnamon roll, or sugar-free cookie), and a final stop where your meal will be brought to your car window! For walk-in pick-up, you will be able to walk in through any school door and head to the Activity Center for pick-up. Both meal options will run from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday! A delivery option will be available with more details to follow!
You will be able to purchase meal tickets when you come to pick up meals, but of course, we encourage ordering tickets in advance to keep each line running smoothly! Meal forms were included in the chili supper mailers that went out to all parishoners. You can fill out and mail/bring in your payment, and meal tickets will be sent home with your student within a few days, as soon as committee members are able to fill them! If you do not have relatives in the building, they will be mailed to you! Meal tickets are $8 per adult, $4 per child ages 4-12, and kids 3 and under eat free!
Also included in your mailers were forms to purchase raffle tickets! There are two different sets of incredible raffle prize options again, including 65″ SmartTV, $1,000 cash prize, grills, electronics, appliances, children’s bikes, gift cards, party packages, and much more!! Fill in your tickets and send them back to school or in your child’s backpack; it helps to put them in an envelope labeled “HFE Raffle”. You CAN write a check for both meal tickets and raffle all in one payment! The committee will get them separated out!
We will be having our annual Silent Auction! Donated auction items are still in need and can be dropped off at the school office by January 22nd! Silent Auction items will be displayed in the school Gym upstairs on Saturday IF you would like to preview items in person, between 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Saturday only. We will be streaming the auction, and bidding will only be available online this year! Those links will be posted here and on our school Facebook page! Bidding will close on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. and auction winners will be announced in hopes of winners being able to conveniently stop by for their winning items as they pick up their dinner! The raffle will close at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday and winners will be drawn and announced on Facebook LIVE at that time!
Classroom teachers have put together some fun incentives on their “Feed the Pig” lists, which will all be available to bid on through the online Silent Auction link! Anyone can send in money to the school to feed a particular classroom pig up until the chili supper! Please label your envelope with which pig you wish to feed with your funds! You can still send in donations for a class pig through Wednesday, February 3rd! Please indicate which classroom pig on your envelope or memo!
Even though the look and format of it will be different this year, our school still highly depends on the funds of this special event to balance our operating budget!! We accept any donations — you are welcome to send donation to the school in an envelope marked “Chili Supper Donation”! Every family needs to donate a batch of brownies and cinnamon rolls — please drop these items off to the Little Theater on Saturday, also between 10:00-4:00!
A link will soon be coming out where parents can sign up to help in some aspect of this event, whether it is helping in the drive-thru line, filling dessert orders, working the book fair, etc! Please consider how you can share your time, talent or treasure for this fundraiser!! Do you have older TMP students who need service hours? They can help make our drive-thru line a success!! This is truly a wonderful opportunity for safe family fun and fellowship!

New to the Chili Supper?
Not only is there a wonderful meal to be enjoyed, there are other components that make this a fantastic event! Even with the difference in our layout this year, keeping this a safe school fundraiser, we will still have our annual Scholastic Book Fair for all of your young reader’s needs! All proceeds go straight to our school librarian for purchasing brand new books for our school! Students will be able to attend the book fair in class during Catholic Schools Week, or you can stop by to browse on Saturday, January 30th between 10:00 – 4:00.
We will be STREAMING our annual Silent Auction & Raffle from the school Gym upstairs, where you can place bids for some fabulous items right at your fingertips! It can’t be much easier or more convenient! Our school raffle will also be operating out of the Gym as well! Be sure to check out the fantastic sets of raffle prizes and send your tickets in!
Classroom teachers have put together some more exciting “Feed the Pig” incentives for their students in hopes of earning more funds for the school! Parents, grandparents, stakeholders, you will be able to make donations toward your child’s “Classroom Pig” ONLINE this year as part of the silent auction bidding, so we hope to get a fantastic turnout!! Some of the incentives include things like classroom pajama days, “work by flashlight” day, special Taco Shop lunches, and much more! Feeding those Pigs means feeding our school funds! You can also make donations for Feed the Pig in person on Saturday from 10:00 – 4:00, or send your donation to school with your child in an envelope marked “Feed the Pig” and which classroom it is for!
General donations for the chili supper are absolutely appreciated and can be mailed to the school or sent in your child’s backpacks! You can mark the envelope or memo section “Chili Supper Donation”.
Any payments for meal tickets need sent in by January 25th! Donated auction items need to be brought in by January 22nd!

Prayer to St. Joseph for Rain
Blessed Saint Joseph, God chose you to be the husband of the Virgin Mary and the foster father of Jesus. You cared for the Son of God as your own son and taught him a trade. Because you were so close to him, He will not refuse anything you ask. Intercede for us in our great need. Pray for the blessing of rain. We are grateful for the moisture that we have received, but the land needs more. Ask God to water our fields and gardens, to fill the rivers, streams and lakes, and to bless our crops and livestock. Help us to live close to Jesus and Mary, as you did, strong in faith and good works, caring for one another. Amen.
Mary, Mother of God, and spouse of Joseph, pray for us.
St. Isadore, patron of farmers and farm life, pray for us.
